Then to the Rocks, the birthplace
of Australia. Board the boat for
your cruise of Sydney Harbour
with/without lunch. After the
cruise drive Gardens, Art Gallery
and return via Watson’s

For
this full day tour, travel through
Mittagong and Berrima beautiful
little villages full of craft
shops. Then to Canberra for a
guided tour of the National Gallery
of Australia and Parliament House.
Visit the War Memorial Museum
with its fascinating collections
of war relics, sculptures and
diorama displays. Return to Sydney
approximately at 9.30 pm. |

Cross
the Harbour Bridge and pass through
Sydney’s more affluent North
Shore suburbs taking a north west
track through many market gardens
and fruit orchards with magnificent
views of fertile farmlands stretching
to the base of the Blue Mountains.
Cross the broad Hawkesbury River
by barge at Wiseman’s Ferry
through the Forgotten Valley to
the historic St Albans village.
The Hunter Valley is renowned
for its excellent wines and Ian
(your host) will discuss you preferred
styles and tastes before offering
you a wide range of wineries from
which to choose. You may choose
to spend the remainder of the
day on an indepth tour of the
wineyards or spend the afternoon
exploring the lush wilderness
nearby. |

Coast & Southern Highlands Full Day |
|
This
area of southern new South Wales,
bordered by the Illawara Coastline
and the southern Highlands Plateau
is a region of immense diversity
and contrast. Pass the historic
Botany Bay and traverse through
the Royal National Park before
stopping at Oxford Lookout, high
on the clifftops at the Pacific
Ocean’s edge. Pass the windswept
villages of tiny miner’s
cottages. Morning refreshments
under the Norfolk Island pines.
Climb through the rainforest of
Macquarie Pass National Park into
the Highlands Plateau to Robertson.
Then to the quaint country village
of Burrawang where time seems
to have stood still. At Moss Vale
you will see many wild eastern
grey kangaroos grazing by a lake.
At Briar’s Inn have a delicious
lunch of local beef, lamb and
trout or vegetarian. Then through
the forests of scribble gums and
giant ant hills via Jamboree Pass
back to Sydney.

Passing
the 2000 Olympic site at Home
bush proceed to the Blue Mountains.
View the spectacular Three Sisters,
a giant rock formation and hear
the Aborigine Legend connected
with it. Then to The Edge Cinema
where you will see, on the giant
screen, magnificent natural scenery
if the Blue Mountains with its
valleys, waterfalls, cliff and
rain forests. Visit the Wildlife
Park, home to Australian native
animals and birds including the
koala. |

Featherdale
is an extensive wildlife park,
developed in a natural bush less
than one hour from Sydney’s
center. You can stroll along its
shady level walkways; enter enclosures
for face-to face, touch-to-touch
meetings with friendly kangaroos
and cuddly koalas.
Witnesses an Australian Miracle
– some climb, some hop,
crawl, slither, slide or fly –
while others, looking cautiously
around, simply perch and stare
in big-eyed wonder.
